IH RECOLETA
English that opens doors, since 1977
Since 1977, ih Recoleta has been part of this international educational community, and it has become a benchmark for English teaching in Buenos Aires.
Over the years we have specialised in preparing teenagers and adults for the international Cambridge exams, helping our students reach their goals and sit their exams with confidence.
Our experience goes hand in hand with a methodology that keeps evolving, bringing in new tools and approaches so that learning is effective, dynamic and meaningful.
QUALITY CHECKED
Inspected by IH World
In September 2024, International House World Organisation (IHWO) inspected IH Buenos Aires Recoleta under its IH Quality Inspection Scheme.
We met all the IH Quality Standards and all the IH Promises, the network's public commitments to students and teachers. The next inspection is due in 2027.
HOW WE TEACH
Our methodology
At International House, we create an environment where students are motivated to learn for themselves, building an active and independent attitude to learning.
Our goal is for learning to be an active, meaningful and enjoyable process. In a supportive, trusting atmosphere, we help our students build the tools and skills they need to use the language in real situations.
A communicative approach
Our courses follow a communicative, student-centred approach that focuses both on developing the different language skills and on constantly taking in and reusing vocabulary and expressions.
Dynamic classes
Classes can include games, drama activities and technology, among other resources, to make learning a dynamic and memorable experience.
Groups of up to 12
We work with groups of up to 12 students, so our teachers get to know each student's preferences, interests and needs, and can support their learning personally.
Teachers who keep learning
Our team is made up of experienced, dynamic, innovative and highly qualified teachers, who keep developing professionally and sharing knowledge within the global International House community.
At ih Recoleta, we believe learning English is not just about gaining knowledge: it is about gaining confidence, building new skills and having the tools to communicate with the world.
